Follow the Light
Traveling with my daughter, my nieces, who live in Pesaro, took us to the little town of Fiorenzuola di Focara, on top of a rocky outcropping on a cape that in Roman times was used as a lighthouse, of sorts. It was a strategic location and a lit fire on its summit would welcome sailors or warn the citizens of the surrounding cities of Rimini and Pesaro of a possible attack.
Were the ancients working through time, lighting this portico with the afternoon sunlight, I cannot say but they caught my attention…
